Alien Invasion!

I was out for my evening stroll and meandering through Stanley Park, when suddenly a beam of light shot down from the heavens and lit the woods all aglow with an eerie green light!  As I approached with my trusty Nikon, I saw these strange, alien-like creatures cavorting and frolicking in a manner that can only be described as carnal.  Too afraid to take a picture using my flash for fear of being exposed and abducted (and God only knows about what kind of probing), I crept forward to take a long exposure.  Alas, before I could get into position, the creatures had boarded their space vessel and shot back into the night sky.  But not apparently before laying what appeared to be a strange clutch of alien eggs that also glowed in the night...

Welcome to Night Photography and 'Painting With Light'.  I took about fifty long exposures but never found exactly what I was looking for.  Shot with my Nikon D700 and Nikon 28mm f/1.4 wide-angle lens.

Earlier in the day, when I was out walking my dogs among other things, I stumbled over another great 'found image'.  I called these babies, 'Pylons on Parade'.

And in the midst of all the rain we've had, a lovely reminder that spring is just lurking around the corner.  Crocus shoots thrusting up from the earth in search of light, just like little photographers.
