What kind of tattoos are we looking for?  

If you are a professional tattoo artist, burlesque performer, pin-up girl or rockabilly, we want to see you and your tattoos.

If you think your body art is an example of the rich history and traditions of tattoo culture we would like to see your ink, whether you are 18 or 85.

If you are a tattooed couple, we want to see you.

If you are a tattooed family, we want to see you.

We are looking for real people with extensive tattooing, full sleeves and body suits, or unique one-of-a-kind extraordinary pieces of custom tattoo art.

We are looking for examples of traditional tattooing that was done in Vancouver by tattoo artists such as Doc Forbes and Curly Allen, or traditional "Old School" tattoos that were inked during the 1940's, 50's and 60's. 

We are also looking for models, male and female, with tattoos.  We are looking for examples of indigenous tribal tattooing. We are looking for bikers and babes, doctors and lawyers, and rare and unique examples of body art.

Bring us your best tattoos!

Every participant who is chosen for this tattoo art project will receive a signed 11 x 14 fine art print suitable for framing, in color or black & white, depending upon the style of work, by the participating photographers, many of whom are published artists and whose Limited Edition Fine Art Prints sell for more than a thousand dollars. A model release must be signed and each participant will receive an honorarium of $25.00. Participants whose images are chosen for the book, will also receive a copy of the book, signed by all the photographers involved in the project. Hair, make-up and styling will be provided on site during the actual shoot. Coffee, water and refreshments will be provided.  Most participants will be photographed in one to two hours, and you will be given a scheduled time for your photography session.
