Few things are better than window light, when speaking of ambient light. Light painting is still handing me my ass on a platter.
I do love working with a tripod and long exposures. Played with depth of field, from wide open at f/2.8, a;; the way to f/22.
Nikon D700 and Nikon 24-70mm lens.
